There are a number of great reasons to choose to study at the University of Tasmania (UTAS), including:
- Choice: we currently offer over 100 undergraduate degrees, including approximately 30 combined degrees
- Unique: many of our courses are distinctive to the Tasmanian environment, taught by academics who are leaders in their field
- Size: with 15,000 students, UTAS is small enough to offer smaller classes and friendly interaction between staff and students, however large enough to offer a fantastic campus lifestyle
- Support: UTAS offers a very generous scholarships program (with approximately 1200 individual scholarships, worth a total of $3.5 million), as well as a range of support services for its students, including counselling, careers advice, disability services and enabling programs
- Location: depending on your chosen course of study, you can choose one of three vibrant campuses throughout Tasmania; Sandy Bay (Hobart), Newnham (Launceston), or Cradle Coast (Burnie)
- Diversity: 40% of the UTAS student population is mature age, and there is also a strong international student population
