The Bachelor of Engineering (Ocean Engineering - Co-operative Education) was developed to serve the needs of the Australian offshore, coastal engineering, and related industries by providing professional engineers specifically educated in the field. It is currently the only such undergraduate program in Australia. AMC makes use of its uniquely maritime focus and its wide variety of specialist facilities to produce graduates with a strong "hands on" approach to complement their theoretical studies, and endeavours to emphasise the novel aspects of ocean engineering associated with developments in deeper waters
In addition to the standard Bachelor of Engineerying (Ocean Engineering), the Co-operative Education program provides students with an additional year of paid work placements in relevant workplaces.
