The Bachelor of Psychology (BPsych) is an accredited 4-year sequence in psychology which provides a pathway to postgraduate training as a psychologist.. This course provides a thorough education in the scientific discipline of psychology and introduces students to the applications of psychology. Students also gain some educational breadth by studying other disciplines to the intermediate level. Advanced theoretical level study in core areas and applied topics in psychology together with advanced research training is undertaken in the fourth year of the program.

Students in the BPsych complete two majors, one in psychology and one in either Behavioural Science or Behavioural Neuroscience, together with a minor in a related discipline.
The BPsych has a quota of 30 students at each year level. Alternative pathways to complete an accredited 4-year sequence in psychology include undertaking a major in psychology through other Bachelor (BBehavSc, BA or BSc) or Graduate (GradDipSc) programs followed by honours in psychology (BA(Hons) or BSc(Hons)).

Special Requirements

Normal university entry requirements, minimum TER of 90.

Other specific prerequisites may apply depending on unit selection
